Listen with respect to the father who raised you, and when your mother grows old, don’t neglect her.

It is commonly referred that the mother gives life to a child. But the Bible referred here that the father gives life. Yes, the mother has the responsibility to bring up children and gives life to a child. The father also has the highest responsibility. Today’s generations are generally commented that there is a generation gap and they do not know anything to their parents and neglect their advice. But today’s passage tells that when your mother grows old, don’t neglect her. It has many wise meanings. The Lord will dedicate us to honour the father and the old mother.
